Screen Machine

Film viewing in the Highlands is quite a different experience. As there are relatively few people, instead of going to the cinema, the cinema goes to the people by way of a mobile screen-in-a-lorry, called the "Screen Machine", which expands its sides to accommodate the audience of up to eighty four people.
The lorry travels around the Highlands and islands stopping at around 80 venues and shows a film in the morning for the children, a film in the afternoon and then maybe a scary film in the evening. The film we went to see was "Sunshine on Leith", a delightful film which was much appreciated by the audience who applauded at the end of the showing.
