came to Aultbea Village Hall !!!!

as part of their tour.

An amazing night, full house
and had to turn people away as no more room.

They play folk-based music
inspired by the music of European gypsies.

A life on the ocean waves ...

we let Malcolm come too

I think Malcolm is directing the traffic 

in this photo ?

Cormorants warming their wings in the sunshine,

taking no notice of us in the kayaks

A misty start 

and then sunshine again

 

Spotted a few herons' nests in the trees

Also spotted lots of graceful, translucent moon jelly fish

enjoying the clear waters

These are very gentle creatures

and their stings cannot penetrate our skins

the purple coloured rings are their reproductive organs

Our gosling, Tilly, helping out in the study, 

while she's growing some proper outdoor feathers.

who has taken no notice of them at all.

Tilly doesn't realise that two of them are her parents

and the other is her fiance.

A friend recently gave us a rare breed hen,

a cream legbar,

and she lays beautifully smooth, pale blue eggs for us .

Lulu takes relaxing very seriously !

Aken and Katie came to stay for a few days with us again

and they obliged me with some lovely 

photo opportunities.

So tired that Wilma didn't have the energy

Docks can be a nuisance but

 the colours of some of the leaves 

are really vibrant and beautiful

Since buying this book I haven't had a chance to read it
because Malcolm is now reading it for a second time
and has barely put it down.
Hopefully I will get to read it soon.
