One of the things that we love about the site is the wonderful stone barn,
that we have since learned was the original house, built in 1879.
The barn in August 2013 when we moved to the croft |
Removing the concrete render |
The original builder's initials and date |
Old roof coming off and the beginnings of the new roof and trusses |
The colourful stage |
Lovely new watertight roof ! The shacks either end are jobs for another day . |
Beware oncoming traffic ! |
"Do I look fat in this coat ?" |
Two week old wild kid on the roadside, Mum is keeping an eye from the bushes. |
Around every corner is a deer |
Patterns in the sand at low tide |
Both eggs from our hens but the one on the left has no shell, weird to hold |
The largest egg so far, eye watering ! |
"Why can't they just put the water in a dish ?" |
Otter watching from our back fence |
Absolutely stunning; Fantastic job on the barn. Love to you both xxx
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have your teeth in another project!
ReplyDeleteJudging from all the pictures, this was definitely a great day for you! And I hope it will continue to be that way, especially on the progress of your barn. Finishing the roof is a huge relief. From then, you can concentrate on other work around the house. And speaking of it, how is it now?
