Easter greetings to you all.
At the beginning of the month
Malcolm returned a happy man
from the Scottish League Cup Final
at Hampden Park, Glasgow
after Ross County beat Hibernian 2 : 1.
Thanks to Kelvin for flying up from Norfolk
to help Malcolm with the cheering !
Aultbea held it's first Crofters' Ball (!)
during the Easter weekend
which was a great success .
Thank you Morven and team
for organising such a marvelous night.
On the night I managed to win
a rather large Easter egg for my entry
to the crofting photographic competition.
Yum !!
The photo that won the egg was of one of our chickens,
appropriately...
Caption: "I wish they would just put the water in a bowl"
well done chicken !
The geese have been amusing us as usual...
doing a bit of yoga on one leg ...
and this certainly beats mowing the front grass.
The chickens are always a cheering sight
from the kitchen window
but one of them must have had a late night
and could only manage a teaspoon size egg
the next day !
I never tire of the view from our kitchen,
whatever the weather,
it always sets me up for the day.
Malcolm's Mum enjoying her Mother's Day blooms.
This is one of the loveliest bronze statues
that I have come across
and it stands outside
Fraser's Auction Mart in Dingwall.
This of course is that time of year
of new beginnings
and new life appearing .
Do you think she can see me with the camera ?
This is our quote for the month which I hope you like:
The tide recedes,
but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down,
but gentle warmth still lingers on the land.
The music stops,
yet echoes on in sweet, soulful refrains.
For every joy that passes
something beautiful remains.

No rude comments on the next photo please !
If I had had the camera on the correct setting
I would also have posted some photos of
the Isle of Skye looking rather beautiful,
I'll be more careful next time.
So until next month,
have a wonderful April
and may you always have a shell in your pocket
and sand between your toes.
